    "First start to dread the arrival of the mail". Bingo.
    Those things were and are pieces of shit. I get the nostalgia and I get the preservation of machinery. But: Pieces of shit.
    An old man I worked with years ago said to a crowd of us bs-ing about when they "used ta run likker", "Shiiit. If them cars wuz so good they still be makin' 'em".
    He was right.
