We used to camp at the old WW2 Hingham Ammunition Dump with our Boy Scout troop. It was fun to explore the empty bunkers. That was back in the 70's, probably much different now
Hey There Jimbro ...Thanks so much for stopping by. The US Naval Ammunition Depot at Hingham was active between 1903-1961. In 1971 the Navy turned the property over to the town of Hingham . There are some 90 plus buildings on the site that make for great exploring opportunities. I think it wasn't until 2018 before they decided to study the property and search for leftover munitions from it's Navy days
