Well, that happened. To the surprise of a very few, Joe Biden chose Sen. Kamala Harris as his running mate. Our very own VodkaPundit called it back in May. I had been on the Harris veep wagon for a very long time but shifted in recent weeks to Susan Rice, because I thought that would help Biden get the Obamas to be a little more enthusiastic about him.In Other News
All the while, however, I kept hoping aloud that it would be Harris because — for reasons I’ll go over in this column — I thought that would be the choice that most benefits President Trump.
Seriously, people, I don’t think I’ve ever been this excited about a VP pick for a ticket, and it’s not even my party’s ticket.
Signaling that he has had it with Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s criticism of President Trump’s handling of the coronavirus crisis despite overwhelming support from Washington (including a hospital ship), Vice President Mike Pence signaled Monday night that the administration won’t take it anymore.In Other News
Following Cuomo’s latest criticism on TV and Twitter, the vice president went after Cuomo in uncharacteristic fashion while on Fox’s The Ingraham Angle, hosted by Laura Ingraham.
Asked about the criticism from the governor, Pence said, “Our hearts grieve for the fact that one-in-five of all the American lives that have been lost in the coronavirus pandemic were lost in the State of New York, and some of that was because of poor decisions by the state and by Governor Cuomo.”
