A Nor'Easter is named for the wind that blows in primarily from the North East over the Atlantic Ocean.
A classic Nor'Easter starts as a typical storm that windes it's way up the mid Atlantic coast toward New England precisley as a meandering storm comes in across from the midwest.The storm onshore drags moisture in from the storm just off shore like a friggin vaccum cleaner. Cheers
