Aah yes....the Red Sox of my youth and fond memories of my maternal grandparents. They never attended a game, but they watched every game of every season ever since they were televised, and probably just on the radio long before I was born. My Nana would watch the game on TV and listen to the play-by-play on the radio, while my Papa just watched. Their commentary when they would screw up was priceless. I remember Nana saying, "Ooh that JACKASS!" They were both alive to see the famed "Curse of The Bambino" broken in 2004, after coming so close in 1946, 1967, 1975, and 1986.
Your Grandparents seem like my kind of people. My own Pop always made big doins of opening day. It was unfortunate he didn't live long enough to see our Sox finally win in 04. Though I have my own memories of that series with my two sons.
So, this only proves the players haven't got two brain cells to rub together. You folks in boston will keep supporting them, since you folks in boston haven't shown much brain power lately either.
Hey There Tim ... Thanks so much for stopping by. By your comment I'll assume you're a Yankees fan and that you probably voted for Hillary Clinton for president.
