You know the joke about how fast you need to be if a bear is chasing you, don’t you? You don’t have to be faster than the bear; you just need to be faster than the other guy.In Other News
To put a finer point on that, if you ever watch those nature documentaries and programs, you notice that the law of the jungle dictates that when a predator is chasing down a herd of prey, the slowest and perhaps the weakest member of the herd becomes the victim. The rest of the herd survives for at least another day.
It’s not much more complicated than that when seeking to understand how the Democrats and the rest of the left are trying to take down Donald Trump and his administration. The law of the jungle, one member at a time. More often than not, the tactical mistake the left continues to make is to go after the strongest members of the administration first, not the weakest one.
They attack the ones they fear most instead of the ones they least fear. It’s why they come up dry so often. That’s how you know that Secretary of War Pete Hegseth is someone they fear quite a bit. He’s one of the strongest and seemingly most trusted members in Trump’s cabinet.
No one in understands the law of the jungle as it applies to politics better than Trump. He knows from experience and has the scars to prove it, literally and physically. But he’s also understood the figurative brutality of politics for a long time. He knows what the left is trying to do to his inner circle, and it’s why he smartly doesn’t give the left a scalp every now and then to appease it. Kristi Noem was an outlier and essentially fired herself with her reckless behavior, her incompetence in her job, and the circus her husband brought to the fore.
By the rude bridge that arched the flood, Their flag to April’s breeze unfurled, Here once the embattled farmers stood And fired the shot heard round the world.
The foe long since in silence slept; Alike the conqueror silent sleeps; And Time the ruined bridge has swept Down the dark stream which seaward creeps.
On this green bank, by this soft stream, We set today a votive stone; That memory may their deed redeem, When, like our sires, our sons are gone.
Spirit, that made those heroes dare To die, and leave their children free, Bid Time and Nature gently spare The shaft we raise to them and thee.
After newly declassified documents showed that an inspector general wrongly pushed an unvetted accusation from a Democrat operative who lied to launch the first impeachment of Donald Trump, legal expert Alan Dershowitz said that the president has a strong case for moving to expunge that first impeachment from his record. In Other News
While Dershowitz was a Democrat himself, he defended Trump during the impeachment trial. Dershowitz went on the Just the News, No Noise TV show to suggest that Trump go straight to the U.S. Supreme Court and Chief Justice John Roberts to request a reversal of the impeachment. The defense team never got to confront the accuser with evidence that was exculpatory for the president, and now we have these new revelations to confirm how bogus the whole impeachment was.
Referring to an impeachment reversal, Dershowitz admitted, “It's never been done. I don't see any reason why it couldn't be done. Impeachment is a quasi-judicial procedure, whether you have to go back to Congress and ask them to expunge it or go to the courts.”
Referring to the new exposure of the key source for the accusations, who met with top Democrat Adam Schiff before filing his complaint, Dershowitz added, “But I have to tell you one thing, history will expunge it already based on your work, because what you've done is you've created so much doubt about the credibility of the main accuser that it's hard for anybody to sit back now and say that was a just, a just impeachment, but I don't know that there's going to be any remedy. Maybe we should try to create one.”
President Donald Trump said on April 7 that he would suspend pending attacks on Iran.In Other News
“Based on conversations with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir, of Pakistan, and wherein they requested that I hold off the destructive force being sent tonight to Iran, and subject to the Islamic Republic of Iran agreeing to the COMPLETE, IMMEDIATE, and SAFE OPENING of the Strait of Hormuz, I agree to suspend the bombing and attack of Iran for a period of two weeks,” Trump said on Truth Social.
His announcement came about an hour and a half before his 8 p.m. ET deadline and Pakistan’s request that he halt the attack.
The president added that Iran’s 10-point peace plan proposal is a “workable basis” to continue negotiations.
“This will be a double sided CEASEFIRE! The reason for doing so is that we have already met and exceeded all Military objectives, and are very far along with a definitive Agreement concerning Longterm PEACE with Iran, and PEACE in the Middle East,” Trump wrote.
Almost all the various points of previous proposals have been agreed to, and the two-week cease-fire will allow an agreement to be finalized, Trump said.
