I could hardly imagine that a majority of our own New England Patriots would decide taking a Knee during our National Anthem would be a great way to show Support and Unity to each other as a team and with the league.
This episode in petty foolishness for their "Good Feels" will be forgotten soon enough. Fans forgive and forget all with each game winning play. The Pats forget too that the NFL would love to see them lose every stinking game this season. Yeah ... So Here's how Brandon Cooks describes his participation in this frigging nonsense.
“To be honest, it’s just one of those things where you want to stand with your brothers and be by your brothers and be by their side,” Cooks said after the game in the locker room. “.. A lot of people think we’re disrespecting the flag and the military, but my father was a Marine, my uncle was a Marine. Family fought in the Vietnam War. I have the utmost respect for the men and women that fight for our freedom. That’s the first statement I want to make. And frankly, I feel convicted in a sense, because I have no courage to be able to do something like that.
“So I understand the magnitude that they’re fighting across the world for our freedom. So that message we’re sending. We’re saying if you don’t respect unity, and there’s only so many ways you can do that.”
He was asked about the fact that he was booed and cheered in the same day.
“I love my neighbor. That’s what the lord said,” he said.
I have a suggestion. Next time you feel the need to make a statement of solidarity with your team mates, Take a friggin knee at the 1 yard line.
** Some
years ago I predicted, often, that we could have eye-witnesses (and even
video/audio) of Islamic attackers screaming “Allahu ackbar!” in America, and
people would deny it.This is one of
those times where I think “Man, do I hate being right all the time!”Related to being right:
** Quote
(italics / not italics / bolding preserved):
Let me
interpret that for you, you low IQ dunce. These signs are to let you
know, you hateful lover of law and order and restraint and decorum, that
you are not welcome here. Contrary to "all are welcome," you will
notice that one group is decidedly missing. You. You think
abortion is murder, so you don't "stand with women," even though half
of those babies being killed are girls. You favor legal immigration, so you
don't "stand with immigrants," which means allowing anyone including
ISIS to just sally over the border willy-nilly as they please. You believe in
traditional marriage and that children should not be denied a mother and father
and so you do not "stand with the LGBTQWTF" crowd, even if you have
no ill will toward them. Just the fact that you believe children have a right
to their biological parents makes you a "hater." You believe in
biology and know that chromosomes don't change because you want them to. This
makes you "anti-science."
>> My
Synagogue has a similar sign; not as obnoxious but same theme.I wonder what they’d say if some Jihadist
came in… hold up the sign, say “See, no hate here!”, just before he opens
fire.Unfortunately, the local Chabad
(much more stringent and likely to be more politically Conservative) is farther
enough to be painful to attend.Another
take on the same thing:
Don’t let the “all are welcome here” fool
you. They don’t mean conservatives. But what’s really telling is how the sign
is phrased, as if Republicans don’t value women, or the lives of minorities,
etc. The implication, here, is that if you don’t think like leftists, you must
hate everyone. And before you’ve even walked into the place for an overpriced
coffee, you have been judged not by the content of your character, but by a
figment of their imagination. And that goes against everything the civil rights
movement taught us.
** When you
even entertain drugging your people, you’re past playing with fire. You’re playing with fusion-grade material,
and you’re approaching critical mass…
Since he is obviously right, his fellow
academics don’t try to argue with him. They just demand that he be silenced.
Gilley’s findings have been denounced as “offensive” and as sacrilege against
sacred “BIPOC” (black people, indigenous peoples, and people of color).
>>
Watching the Left these days, when faced with facts and logic reminds me of
Drew Carey’s “Whose line is it anyway?” show where “The points don’t matter.”
** The
reason they’re clutching their pearls and fainting is because they know this is
what a man who loves his country looks like, and they’re equal parts
contemptuous of that and envious of the fact that he has a set; it is the raw,
dripping jealous/anger at someone who has a noble trait that these vermin
lack.More:
There is much that could be said, but I
think the single most important point to make is that Trump sought to impress
on his audience that under his leadership the United States has moved on from
the Obama era. He is the unObama. He unashamedly asserts American national
sovereignty. He expresses pride in the United States and its Constitution,
without qualification or apology.
** Look at
the poster.I’ve said for years this was
coming.First gay marriage. Then polygamy, using the very same arguments
the gay marriage people used.Then
pedophilia.Man do I hate being right
all the time.
** And this
dependency is done by design to create an eternal pool of reflexive lab rats,
pulling the “D” lever every two years in exchange for pellets and a subsidized
cage.
** Is it too
much to ask that some Jihadists screaming “Allahu akhbar!” make appearances in
venues frequented by key SM platform leadership?Maybe when it’s someone they actually know
and care about being shredded by nail bombs, or run over, or stabbed... THEN they
might get it.
So the Earth’s temperature “record” has
been subjected to endless adjustments and alleged corrections by the very
people who are trying to use that record to justify billions of dollars in
payments to themselves. In any other context I know of, this is considered
corrupt and perhaps felonious.
>> And
another quote:
Observation trumps theory. What is
extraordinary about our current situation is that the people who created the
self-interested and politically-motivated models also control the temperature
record, and they have been changing it to make their models, and their
entitlement to billions in government grants, look better.
This is, in my opinion, the greatest
scandal in the history of science.
** I’ve seen
multiple videos where they are open in their long-game plan to demographically
swamp the natives, whether in England, Germany, or wherever.Yet the natives are so PC-crippled they don’t
– CAN’T – acknowledge it.It’s as if
they don’t really think that “little brown people” are as capable and clever,
or have even a sliver of a chance of outwitting them.In other words, they’re racists.
The reality is that
most Americans aren’t racists. Like a scab, the more it’s picked at the more it
bleeds and the longer it takes to heal. We’ve been picking at this scab for so
long now, one would think that slavery is still happening today in America.
>> The problem is that there is money and political
power in continuing the fear of racism. And it’s only in one direction, which means it’s clearly used as a
cudgel by one side:
** The more Orthodox a Jew is, the more likely they are
to be on the Right – i.e., natural allies with those who love freedom, want
smaller government, etc.And yet, who is
the target of blog posts from people on the Right?Jews… there was one – I won’t link to it –
making fun of an Orthodox Jew wearing a phylactery, a
sign of their deep faith in G-d.As I
noted in AMERICA STANDS ON THE EDGE OF A KNIFE:
Find allies – even an ally
that agrees with you 80% is
better than a Communist wannabe who wants to see you dead; put aside petty
differences because survival is at stake. There are politically conservative
Jews, and Catholics, and Muslims, and Hindus, and so on. Conservatism spans
across from whitest-white to darkest-black. There are gay Conservatives, and
lots of women Conservatives. Have bad feelings towards anyone like that? GET
OVER IT. PUT THOSE FEELINGS ASIDE. The Left understands that if we group based
on that 80% criteria, if we set aside our few differences to unite against
them, they will lose. And so they practice divide and conquer, setting
racial groups against each other, dividing the sexes, hyping intolerance of
gays, splitting based on religion… they want us fractured.
** Say, anyone remember when Killary said that
challenging election results was very dangerous? If it weren’t for double standards, Democrats
wouldn’t have any.
** As I said in The Leftist Sense of Self, Leftists
are herd beasts. One cannot stray from
The Collective’s belief.When someone,
no matter the venue, is brave enough to break the omerta of the Left, we need to support them.
These kind of media
games can’t be separated from the Antifa streetfighters bent on silencing free
speech. Their tactics might differ, but their logic—and their ultimate goal—is
the same: to redefine the boundaries of acceptable disagreement in the public
square. It goes like this: if Trump is trying to undo Obama-era policies, then
he is attacking progressive social values. If he’s attacking progressive social
values, he’s basically advocating white supremacy. Therefore, supporting Trump
means supporting white supremacy, and it’s okay to attack those white
supremacists in Berkeley, or wherever they might gather.
This twisted logic
is more widespread on the Left than most people realize. Countering it is the
duty of all Americans who think it’s still possible to disagree and yet maintain
a functioning republic. That’s why it’s important to insist on free speech and
keep staging rallies, even—perhaps especially—in Berkeley.
>> It’s the “Othering” of anyone not of the Hard
Left.
