The Ebb and Flow of the friggin tides are now on the list of Obama's major Presidential Accomplishments
Obama: Democrats who lost their seats for passing Obamacare did the right thing Former President Barack Obama said Sunday that Democratic lawmakers who voted for the Affordable Care Act knowing it might cost them their seats did the right thing even if it meant the end of their political career.
Speaking at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library in Boston, where he was awarded the Profiles in Courage Award, Obama said a lot of freshman Democratic lawmakers found themselves tossed into the healthcare debate when they arrived in Washington. Though they knew voting for Obama’s healthcare bill might be unpopular back home, Obama said they felt it was the right thing to do.
I read Profiles in Courage in high school, several times, as a matter of fact. It is an insult that Obama should be mentioned in the same sentence with those words. The men written about in that book were men of character and intestinal fortitude the likes of which Obama would not even be able to polish the shoes of. I guess that the award must not count for much. Like the man that they gave it to.
ReplyDeleteHey There Pigpen. Thanks for checking in. The Dems are desperately attempting to preserve Obama's Legacy. He had a chance to make a difference as America's First Black President. It's a shame he chose to do nothing with it
