NFL Upholds Four Game Suspension for Brady
Roger Goodell Upholds Tom Brady Suspension
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has upheld Patriots quarterback Tom Brady's four-game suspension for violating the league's policy on integrity of the game, the league announced Tuesday.
The full final decision from Goodell can be read here, although it doesn't necessarily end this saga. NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Tuesday that Brady will sue. Brady's camp will seek an injunction on this suspension to try to keep Brady on the field.
Goodell indicated that Brady's destruction of evidence was a factor in upholding the suspension.
"The most significant new information that emerged in connection with the appeal was evidence that on or about March 6, 2015 -- the very day that he was interviewed by Mr. Wells and his investigated team -- Mr. Brady instructed his assistant to destroy the cellphone that he had been using since early 2014, a period that included that AFC Championship game and the initial weeks of the subsequent investigation," Goodell wrote in the final decision on the appeal.
"During the four months that the cell phone was in use, Brady had exchanged nearly 10,000 text messages, none of which can now be retrieved from that device. The destruction of the cell phone was not disclosed until June 18, almost four months after the investigators had first sought electronic information from Brady."

The USOC “would very much” like to have another U.S. city bid for the 2024 Olympics, USOC CEO Scott Blackmun said in a statement.
“We are out of time if the USOC is going to be able to consider a bid from another city,” Blackmun said. “As a result, we have reached a mutual agreement to withdraw Boston’s bid to host the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
“The USOC would very much like to see an American city host the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2024. We will immediately begin to explore whether we can do so on a basis consistent with our guiding principles, to which we remain firmly committed.”
The deadline to submit a bid to the International Olympic Committee for the 2024 Olympics is Sept. 15. IOC members will vote to choose the 2024 Olympic host city in 2017.
The other three U.S. bid cities that Boston beat out in a Jan. 8 announcement were Los Angeles, San Francisco and Washington, D.C.

So, I was walking through the mall, and saw that there was a “Muslim Bookstore.” I was wondering what exactly was in a “Muslim Bookstore” so I went on in.
I was wandering around taking a look and the clerk stopped me and asked if he could help me. I imagine I didn’t look like his normal clientele.
So I asked for a copy of the Australian immigration policy book regarding Muslims.
The clerk said, “F**k Off, Get Out, and Stay Out!”

Constitutional Carry Fail in New Hampshire

Yesterday, Democrat Governor Maggie Hassan vetoed New Hampshire bill SB116 which would have removed the licensing requirement for concealed carry. New Hampshire currently permits permitless open carry, but if you want to carry concealed, you must submit an application to your local CLEO (or Town Selectman if your town is too small for its own police force). SB116 had passed the New Hampshire Senate 14-9 in February on a strict party line vote – Republicans in favor, Statists Democrats opposed. It had gone on to the House in April where it had passed 212-150. The house vote was more mixed with some Republicans voting against the bill and a few Democrats in favor of it . . .
Hassan justified the veto this way:
“New Hampshire’s current concealed carry permitting law has worked well for nearly a century — safeguarding the Second Amendment rights of our citizens while helping to keep the Granite State one of the safest states in the nation,” Hassan said. “Our concealed weapons permitting system gives an important oversight role to local law enforcement, while allowing for appeals through appropriate channels.”
New Hampshire now joins Montana and West Virginia as the third state this year in which constitutional carry was passed by the people’s representatives only to have Democrats in the governors’ mansions shoot the proposals down.
While a veto override is technically possible, it would require 3/4 of the members of both houses to accomplish that feat – unlikely at best. Constitutional carry is dead in the Live Free or Die State. At least until it figures how to rid itself of Mommy Hassan.
