Senator Creigh Deeds Hospitalized After Stabbing

Son Gus Deeds has died of a gun shot wound.
Virginia state Sen. R. Creigh Deeds, Bath Democrat, was stabbed in his home Tueday morning and his son Gus died from a gunshot wound, the Richmond Times-Dispatch reported.

Mr. Deeds is in critical condition at the University of Virginia Medical Center and authorities are trying to determine the sequence of events, the paper reported. He ran unsuccessfully for governor of Virginia in 2009.

UPDATE: It seems Son, Gus Deeds may have stabbed his father then shot himself.
